Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.”
Let’s look at this list:
Be kind
Be tender hearted
Forgive others
How about two out of three? Two out of three ain’t bad. (And if you just started singing a Meatloaf song- you are one of the cool ones)
People today can be kind- even though they would rather not.
People today will say- “I forgive you”- even if they don’t mean it.
But that tender hearted stuff- you can’t fake that. It’s either genuine or totally and obviously an act.
A tender heart is filled with uncompromising love. There is mercy over prejudice. There is generosity over selfishness.
Not everyone can have a tender heart- but we believers must show the love of Jesus to others. And He is the greatest example of a tender heart.
